Sydney 101!

     Hi, people of Earth. I just got this blog and I don't really know how to begin, so I'm going to tell you some stuff that I'm not exactly sure if you care about, but whatever.

     Here goes.

     I'm Sydney and I'm 14. I live in Illinois. Um I'm writing this blog because I have this really unlikely dream of becoming a writer, for kids, probably. I'm really awkward and antisocial, except on my phone, and I guess I'm "quirky" (which is my mother's adjective, not mine). As of now, I'm the only writer on this blog, so it's just little old me. 

     My favorite blogger is Allie Brosh of "Hyperbole and a Half" (she has a blog on Blogspot and she wrote a book, too. She's pretty awesome.) I love to read, and write, which I guess is obvious. I'm a little bit of a history nerd and an English nerd, so I will probably not ever spell things wrong, or format posts incorrectly.

     I'm also pretty uncomfortable talking about myself for long periods of time.

     So this is awkward.

     All in all I would describe myself as an abnormally large five-year-old who somehow found herself in her freshman year of high school. And she has a blog. :D

     I recently read an article that said that blogging is 20% creation and 80% promotion, but I'm really not sure how to promote myself. If Allie Brosh mentioned me on her blog I WOULD EXPLODE IN A FIERY NUCLEAR EXPLOSION OF PURE ECSTASY. 

     But I don't think that's exactly realistic. (The mentioning part, not the nuclear explosion thing, because I'm 99% sure my body would find a way to do it out of joy.)

     So, this blog will most likely consist of the weird/sad/ funny/terrifying things that my life consists of (and don't worry, I LOVE PICTURES so there will be plenty. Some drawn, some taken.).

     Don't be surprised if my posts get a little intense. I'm a very opinionated person and I have a feeling that my opinions may make some of you question my morale, but I'm a good person. (At least, I try.)

     So that's me! If you have any questions, ask me in the comments. Is anyone even going to read this? I guess I'll find out. :D
